Thanks to the possibility of connect a chromebook still TV, we can play any kind of content that we have on our device. It is even a good idea when we have an old television that has an HDMI input, but cannot use applications such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc.
In this article, we are going to see two very useful and simple methods so that we can connect any kind of television to a Chromebook and it will only take a few minutes.
Connect Chromebook to a TV wirelessly

The first thing we will have to do is open the Chromebook Quick Settings panel from the lower right corner of the screen. Next, we will have to press Transmit. Something that we must consider is that, in case the Cast option does not appear, this means that the Android TV is not turned on or is not connected to the same Wi-Fi network. So we will have to meet both conditions.

Now, Chromebook has to automatically detect our Android TV. Once it does, we are going to click on the name of the television that appears in the list to connect it.

And that would be all. From now on, the full screen of the Chromebook will be mirrored on the TV immediately.

In case we want to disconnect our Chromebook from the TV, what we will do is click on Stop in the quick configuration panel.
Connect both devices via HDMI cable
In case we do not want to use a wireless connection. What we can do is use an HDMI cable. For this we are going to need a Type-C to HDMI connector, since most modern Chromebooks come with a USB Type-C port. some Chromebooks have a full HDMI port; if that’s the case, then we can use a standard HDMI cable.

We start by connecting the Type C to the Chromebook and the HDMI end to the TV. In our case we have a slightly older Chromebook, so we’ll use a USB-C hub, which outputs an HDMI port. We connected the Chromebook and the TV using an HDMI to HDMI cable.

After connecting the two devices. We will have to go to source options in Input from the TV and we will select the HDMI port where we plugged the Chromebook.

We’ll go back to our Chromebook and open the Application Launcher from the bottom left. Next, we are going to have to search for Screen and we will choose Screen – Device.

In this section we will see that the television appears as an external screen for Chromebook. What we would have to do is select the monitor (which would be our television).

It is important to check the box that says “Built-in screen mirror”.
And that would be all. In case we want to disconnect the TV from the Chromebook, all we have to do is simply remove the cable and that’s it.
