How to enable File Explorer checkboxes in Windows 11
As mentioned above, one cause uses checkboxes in File Explorer to make it easier to select multiple files. If you want to enable this feature, please follow the steps below.
To do that, open File Explorer.
With File Explore open, click the View command on the toolbar as shown below. On the View context menu, click Show ==> item checkboxes as shown in the picture below.
Once you enable it, the next time you use File Explorer, you should see checkboxes next to the item that you can select.

How to disable item checkboxes in Windows 11
If you change your mind about enabling checkboxes for items in File Explorer, you can simply disable this feature by reversing the steps above in File Explorer ==> View ==> Show ==> Item Checkboxes.
