Windows 11 comes with a Quick Settings feature that combines the Wi-Fi, Sound / Speaker, and Battery buttons in the lower-right corner of the taskbar. Each icon can be viewed separately by hovering over it. But when you click a single button, the options for all the buttons in the box will appear.

From the Quick Settings pop-up box, you can access and connect to Wi-Fi connections, including turning Wi-Fi off and on in Windows 11.

The new Windows 11 comes with many new features and a new user desktop, including a centered start menu and taskbar, rounded corner windows, themes and colors that will make any computer look and feel modern.

To start connecting to a Wi-Fi network in Windows 11, follow the steps below.

How to join a Wi-Fi network in Windows 11

As mentioned above, Windows 11 allows you to connect to any Wi-Fi from the Quick Settings area on the taskbar.

The Quick Settings box is the one highlighted below. Just click on any of the icons to open the Quick Settings pop-up window.

Next, click the right-facing caret on the Wi-Fi symbol at the top of the box.

From this window, you can also turn the Wi-Fi switch on or off in Windows 11. Once the Wi-Fi switch is on, Windows will start to show you the Wi-Fi connections that are in range.

Select the one from the list you want to connect to, then type the password and connect.

Once you successfully enter the Wi-Fi password, you should connect as highlighted below.

You are now connected.

How to connect to a Wi-Fi network from Windows settings

You can also join a Wi-Fi network from the Windows Settings app.

Windows 11 has a centralized location for most of its settings. From system settings to creating new users and updating Windows, everything can be done from your System settings crystal.

To access the System Settings, you can use the Windows key + i shortcut or click Start ==> Settings as shown in the following picture:

Alternatively, you can use the search box on the taskbar and find Settings. Then select to open it.

The Windows settings panel should look similar to the image below. In Windows settings, click Network and Internetand select Wifi on the right panel of the screen shown in the image below.

Make sure the Wi-Fi switch is Upon, then click or tap Show available networks.

Windows 11 now shows you the list of all wireless networks in range. Select the connection from the list that you want to connect to.

Once you enter the correct password, Windows should connect.
