Once downloaded, install it and proceed below to make it the default web browser in Windows 11.
Windows 11 has a centralized location for most of its settings. From system settings to creating new users and updating Windows, everything can be done from your System settings crystal.
To access the System Settings, you can use the Windows key + i shortcut or click Start ==> Settings as shown in the following picture:

Alternatively, you can use the search box on the taskbar and find Settings. Then select to open it.
The Windows settings panel should look similar to the image below. In Windows settings, click Applications, Select Default apps on the right panel of the screen shown in the image below.

When the default apps settings open, use the search box and type Edge to find the default app for apps.
Microsoft Edge will appear in the result below. Click on Microsoft Edge.

The next page will list all the default file types and links for which Edge is the default. Just select each type and switch from Edge to Firefox.

When you select Microsoft Edge, a pop-up window will ask you to check Edge before switching. If you still want to change, click Change anyway.

For each file type, choose Firefox as the default, then click okay to confirm and change.

At some point when you select a file extension, you will not immediately see Firefox to change. Click on the More applications link to show hidden Firefox.

When you’re done, each file type should be switched to Firefox.

That should be it! Firefox should now be the default web browser for Windows 11.
