How to Share a Calendar in Microsoft Outlook

Sharing a calendar with friends, family, or coworkers has its benefits. The person you share it with can see what’s on your schedule and when you’re available for other things.

You can share your google calendarBut if you use Microsoft Outlook instead of (or in addition to) Google Calendar, you can also share your Outlook calendar.

How to share a calendar in Outlook on desktop

If you use Outlook on your desktop computer, sharing a calendar is easy. You just have to follow these steps.

  1. Open Outlook and click the icon Calendar to see your calendar.
  2. Go to the tab Beginning.
  3. Click on Share calendar on the tape.
  4. Select the calendar account you want to share if you have more than one.
  5. In the calendar properties window, click Add and select the person you want to share with.
  6. Click on Add in that window.
  7. When the person appears in Calendar Properties, choose Sharing Permissions.
    • You can choose between You can see all the details or Can edit according to your preferences.
  8. Click on Apply and then in To accept to share the calendar.

Edit the shared calendar on the desktop

To edit the share permissions or remove someone from your calendar, go back to the tab Beginning. Click on Share calendar and choose the calendar to open the Calendar Properties.

Make your changes and click To accept to save them.

How to share a calendar in Outlook for the web

Maybe you use Outlook in your browser instead of on the desktop. Luckily, sharing your calendar from the web is just as easy.

  1. Sign in to Outlook online and click the icon Calendar to see your calendar.
  2. In the list of calendars on the left, click the three points that appear next to the calendar you want to share.
  3. In the menu, click Sharing and permissions.
  4. Enter the email address or name of a contact you want to share with.
  5. Select sharing permissions from the drop-down box next to its name.
    • You can choose between You can see all the details or Can edit according to your preferences.
  6. Click Share.
  7. You can add someone else, change the sharing permissions, or just click on the X to close the window.

Edit the shared calendar online

To edit sharing permissions or remove someone from your Outlook online calendar, click the three dots next to the calendar to open Sharing and permissions.

Make your privilege change or click the trash can to remove access. Changes are saved automatically.

How to modify Outlook calendar settings
