Xbox Cloud Gaming controller or controller is not working

There are several problems when it comes to playing games in the cloud, it is not a perfect technology, but in general terms it works quite well. Latency is one of those problems, another is connectivity; but obviously, the fact that the remote doesn’t work is a bigger problem. A little further down, we are going to see in detail everything we must do to solve this problem.

Change the remote control battery

Obviously one of the first things we should look at is whether the remote has enough battery. We know that it is something simple, but that is precisely why we must confirm it. In case the controller does not work, we will try to change the batteries and try new ones.

Disconnect the controller and pair it again

Disconnect and reconnect via Bluetooth.

Many Bluetooth devices have this problem, we must disconnect and pair them again.

  • For this we will have to press Windows + i.
  • From the left sidebar, we go to “Bluetooth and other devices”.
  • Now we are going to click on the Xbox Cloud Gaming controller and a button will appear that says “Remove device”.
  • Next, we are going to “Add Bluetooth or other device”, we select the corresponding option.
  • We will have to wait a few seconds and pair the remote again, it will appear in the list of devices, we click it and it will connect.

Using the USB wired controller

Controllers designated by XBOX as MOGA XP5-X Plus for mobile and cloud games, may disappear from the list of the device when we try to connect it to a PC. Therefore, it will only work connected via USB.

What we recommend is precisely to deactivate Bluetooth and connect it via a direct USB cable to the computer.

Turn the remote on and off

As simple as it may sound, many knob problems are easily fixed by putting the controller through a full power cycle. So we’re going to have to turn the controller off and on. For this we will have to press and hold the Xbox button for 5 to 10 seconds until it turns off.

After this we will wait a few seconds and we will have to press the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on. This should solve the problem.
