Thanks to Apple’s Find My application it is possible find a lost iPhone, even if this is found off. In this way we can locate and recover it, even contact the authorities and provide them with the location of the mobile. We should add that with the expansion of Find My to new devices, especially through Apple’s AirTags, it became much more useful.
Currently, iOS 15 brings the ability to locate a phone even if its battery is dead, even if the same device is turned off. In this way it is easy to find our lost iPhone. If we have the following Apple models, even the Find My app works amazing.

Activate the Find My or “Find” application
The first thing we have to do is activate and configure the Find My application, let’s see how we can do this.
We are going to go to “Settings” and then we will have to click on our name, then click on “Find”. Here we will have to activate “Find”. If we have updated to iOS 15, we can also activate “Find my network”, which will allow you to find the device even if it is disconnected. “Send last location” will send you the location of the iPad or iPhone when it is about to shut down.
Basically that would be all we have to do, then we will be able to use the website of iCloud to be able to access with our Apple ID or with the Find My application from Mac to be able to locate the mobile device.
In case you are using the web version, the green dot will be the location of our iPhone. We will click on the point in question and then we will press on the “i” to obtain more information. We will be given the option of having the phone make a sound, erase all content, or put it in “Lost Mode.”
In “Lost Mode”; You can enter a phone number you want to reach and a message “Please return this phone as soon as possible.” After this the device will be locked until the password is entered again.
We can see on the map all the instructions to locate the phone in question. It is quite easy and in this way we will never lose, at least forever, our device.
