There is no doubt, if you are really a fan of this Microsoft console, that you have ever wondered if it is possible to play Xbox games on your PC. The first good news we have to give you, and you may even already know it, is that You can indeed run Xbox games on Windows, but how to do it?

In a very summarized way, the options you have to enjoy your favorite Xbox titles on computers include streaming from the console to your computer, downloading and installing a quality emulator, or directly have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and stream from the cloud.

So, the first big news compared to if we had written this article some time ago, is that now you can play many of your favorite Xbox games on PC without even having the console with you. basically just you need is the Xbox app and an active subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Without detracting from the old streaming system or cool emulators you can download and install, currently the easiest way to enjoy Xbox games on your PC is to get the Xbox app on your PC. Whenever you use a device with Windows operating system, be it Windows 10 or Windows 11, this app should appear in the Start menu because it comes pre-installed. If not, you can download it from the Xbox website. Just remember that it doesn’t work on versions prior to Windows 10, so don’t even download it on those.

On the other hand, it is clear that the subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is not free. But, for little money you can access hundreds of games for Xbox and PC, including some of the best titles on these consoles. Also keep in mind that you can become a member from the Xbox app or from the Game Pass Ultimate website.

Once you’ve signed up, you can sign in to the Xbox app wherever it’s installed.

Alternative 1

You can download and play your own Xbox games that have been transferred to your PC. You will find the titles available under this mechanism in the Xbox app on Windows. Go to Store, select the game to buy and download. Once the download is complete, you can open the game and start playing on your PCwithout having to do anything else.

You can stream Xbox games to your PC from the cloud. They will run on Microsoft servers, of course. Even when your PC doesn’t have a lot of graphics power, it will work just fine. Of course, some drivers will be needed.
