How to install macOS Sonoma Developer Beta on your Mac?

  1. Download the Apple Developers app from the App Store via this link
  2. Open the Developers app and tap the Account button in the bottom left corner
  3. Press the Enroll Now button and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the procedure
  4. Once that is done, go to Settings, General, Software Update. There you can install MacOS Sonoma
  5. Click the “i” button next to the Beta Updates option and select MacOS Sonoma Developer Beta
  6. Once the update is available, tap Update Now and wait for the process to complete
  7. Once the update is downloaded, press the Install Now button and MacOS Sonoma will install itself

How to install macOS Sonoma Public Beta on your Mac?

If you’re running a public beta on your Mac, just look for new updates software in Settings once the MacOS 14 Public Beta update is available in July 2023.

But if you’re not enrolled in Apple’s Public Beta program, follow these steps to join:

  1. Go to the Apple Beta Software Program website at this linkand click Login
  2. Sign in with the same Apple ID you use on your Mac or MacBook, and tap Enroll your devices
  3. Locate the MacOS tab and follow the instructions on the screen
  4. Open your Mac’s General Settings and go to Software Update
  5. Click on Beta Updates and select MacOS Sonoma Public Beta
  6. The MacOS Public Beta update will now be available on your computer
  7. Click Update to download, install and enjoy it
