How to connect to hidden Wi-Fi networks

As mentioned above, some WiFi networks are hidden from view for security reasons. When you want to connect to such networks, you must know the full Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password in order to join.

Windows 11 has a centralized location for most of its settings. From system settings to creating new users and updating Windows, everything can be done from your System settings crystal.

To access the System Settings, you can use the Windows key + i shortcut or click Start ==> Settings as shown in the following picture:

The Windows settings panel should look similar to the image below. In Windows settings, click Network and Internetand select Wifi on the right panel of the screen shown in the image below.

Clicking Wifi configuration panel, click Manage known networks as shown in the picture below.

In the Manage Known Network Settings panel, click the New network to bring up the new network settings pop-up window.

Then enter the network details using the guide:

  • Write hidden Wi-Fi SSID at Network name countryside. The SSID is the name of the Wi-Fi. It must be spelled exactly.
  • Select the Security type from the drop-down list. You can get it from your network administrator if you are not sure.
  • Enter the password to his hidden network in the Security key countryside.
  • Check the checkboxes for both Connect automatically and Connect even if this network is not transmitting options.

Once saved, assuming you have entered all the information correctly, you should connect to the Wi-Fi network.
