The store icon is on the taskbar because Microsoft really wants you to use their store. Well, you don’t have to, so here’s how to unpin Windows Store from the taskbar.
Other default icons on the Windows taskbar can be easily removed by simply right-clicking unpin. For those, you will have to use the Windows Settings app to hide these icons.
For the Microsoft Store icon, you cannot hide it using the Windows Settings app. For that, you can simply right-click on the icon and select «Unpin from the taskbar«

As mentioned above, you cannot hide the Microsoft Store app icon from the taskbar in Windows 11. You can only remove it by unpinning it.
Here’s how to do it.
While connected to your Windows desktop, right-click on the Store app icon on the taskbar. Then select «Unpin from the taskbar” As shown below.
Alternatively, you can also unpin the Store app icon from the taskbar and Start menu. Click the Start button, then right-click the Store app icon in the Start menu and select Unpin from the taskbar and Detach from the beginning As shown below.
