The steps below will show you how to update an old PC that does not meet the Windows 11 requirements using another alternative method. With this, it will not be necessary to reformat your drive, erase your files, or even burn the ISO to an external USB drive.
How to download Windows 11 ISO
As mentioned above, if you have a valid Windows 10 licensed computer, you can upgrade to Windows 11 for free. If your computer does not meet the Windows 11 requirements, you can still update using an alternative method below.
First, you will need to download the Windows 11 ISO file online. To go Windows 11 ISO download site, scroll down to Download the Windows 11 disk image (ISO).
Click on the Select Download drop down menu and choose Windows 11, then press the Download and select the language of your product in the Choose one drop-down menu below, press Confirm, then click 64-bit download.

Now that you have downloaded Windows 11 ISO on your Windows 10 machine, before you start updating using the downloaded ISO file, go ahead and edit your Windows 10 registry to bypass Windows 11 CPU checks.
How to open and edit the Windows registry
With the Windows registry editor open, navigate to Computer HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM Setup MoSetup, either by copying and pasting the path below:

or drilling through the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and System and Setting and MoSetup subkeys or folders one at a time.
In the right pane, right-click and select New> DWORD value (32 bits). Name the value AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU.
Double click on the new value you created and enter 1 at Value data countryside. Paste okay and close the registry editor.
How to upgrade to Windows 11 with settings
Now that you have created a workaround, go to the Downloads folder where you downloaded the Windows 11 ISO file earlier. Then right-click on the file and select mount to mount the ISO file.
Or just double-click the ISO file and open it with File Explorer. In File Explorer, double-click the setting file to begin the installation.
When the installer opens, click next.
You should do that! If the above solution method worked, you should see a warning message instead of a rejection message and allow you to install Windows 11 without losing your data.
